Themed Workshops

The Pottery Cave Bishton

Themed workshops offer you the chance to make a beautiful bespoke piece of pottery by following step by step instructions led by Caroline. They offer the unique opportunity to be able to sit in peace and tranquillity and hand-make an amazing creation that you will cherish.

The two and a half hour workshops are available throughout the year and are based on a themed workshop, themes offered from 2021 onwards will be: The Highland Cow; The Wild Hare; Enchanted Lamp House; Nature Plaques; Pitcher Jugs; Summertime Lanterns; The Funky Pony; Fun Farm Animals; Dragons and Mermaids;  Halloween Fun; Christmas themes.     All workshops take place in a beautiful setting a lifetime away from busy lives as you relax and unwind with ceramics.

This 3D project will truly become your own, we all work at the same piece throughout the session but the imagination and unique spin you can put on your piece will be your very own signature piece.

If you love relaxing in beautiful surroundings, then there’s no better way than joining us at one of the workshops.

Once made, the pieces will be dried fired and finished before being ready for you to collect within about 2 weeks. It can be finished for you in an oxide stain or you can finish it yourself by coming along to a weekly class (by arrangement) to glaze the piece with professional glaze.

Price includes exclusive access to the historic Orangery, all material, equipment and instruction to complete your bespoke piece and delicious homemade cakes and refreshments.

The following dates for future workshops will be scheduled from June 2021 once the current Covid restrictions have been lifted.

Please note: due to the current situation, dates and even venues are subject to change. If we have to change the date or venue, this will be based on Government guidelines and upon instructions of the Management committee of the venue. We will try to ensure that the workshop is scheduled as soon as possible after the initial date.
