Themed Workshops

Pottery in the Orangery

Themed workshops are normally set in the beautifully restored Ingestre Orangery. This wonderful space offers exclusive use for us to be able to sit in peace and tranquillity and create an amazing bespoke piece you will cherish.

We also offer themed workshop sessions at Tixall Hall. Built in 1848, Tixall Village Hall was used as a School until the 1900’s and it retains much of it’s charm and rich history. The beautiful setting for this hall in the Hamlet of Tixall is a lifetime away from busy lives as you relax and unwind with ceramics.

The two hour workshops are available throughout the year and are based on a themed workshop. Choose from Highland Cow; Wild Hare; Funky Pony; Mystical tea houses; dragon or mermaids; Hen or stag party themed; Farm animals; Halloween theme; Christmas theme.

This 3D project will truly become your own, we all work at the same piece throughout the session but the imagination and unique spin you can put on your piece will be your very own signature piece.

If you love relaxing in beautiful surroundings, then there’s no better way than joining us at one of the workshops.

Once made, the pieces will be dried fired and finished before being ready for you to collect within about 2 weeks. It can be finished for you in an oxide stain or you can finish it yourself by coming along to a weekly class (by arrangement) to glaze the piece with professional glaze.

£40pp fired and finished in an oxide stain.

Price includes exclusive access to the historic Orangery, all material, equipment and instruction to complete your bespoke piece and delicious homemade cakes and refreshments.
